Printed and displayed
so this poster that I made was accepted into my school's 18th annual Hokin Honors exhibit. I hate to be all in your face about it but its pretty cool.
Here are some shots of the display.
detail shot.
I think it looked good, its awesome this poster was included. Major props to Ivan Brunetti who wrote a recommendation for my work.
There was also my comic entitled the life & death of Bob Boardman that I made in my drawing the graphic novel class. I also shared this wall space with fellow cartoonists and classmates, Nick Drnaso, John Gregg and kevin Budnik who is not pictured in the photo above, but nonetheless was there
as well.
Its a pretty stellar show, if your around campus check it out while you still can.

I should be editing my paper...
But instead of doing that I took my time to procrastinate and show some pictures. YAY
So this is my cork board, I pin things that I find interesting, inspiring or funny to me. I know people have blogs or tumblers but I prefer to have something physical. The old postcard, the stickers or photographs are all physical objects that have a more permanent meaning than most things I see on the internet. I kind of prefer it that way.
This hanging on my wall is one of the drawings for wanderlust. I think a lot of people were pretty surprised to learn that the original drawing for the comic was on a 19x24 inch piece of paper. All of it was done with crow quill pen nibs, a brush and ink.
I think I procrastinated enough for one post.

Recent work.
So This is a set of illustration that I did as part of my editorial illustration class.
The concept was to attend an event that we have never been to, document and illustrate it in a illustrated essay.
For my event I went to an Asian market close to where I lived.
This was challenging, and I am surprised to see where they ended up as a set. Because they looked radically different from my initial sketches. Overall I am more or less satisfied with the end concept.

Wanderlust cont...
The final installment of wanderlust. I think this was probably the most consistent story I made. The zine has two extra pages of other content that I will not post. You will have to hunt one down to see what it is.
Also quimbys wrote a nice little write up about it, check it out----->Link
I so want to get back into the rhythm of making mini comics. Once school wraps up I will hit the drawing board.
